Sunoco Race Fuels Extends Partnership With Lucas Oil MLRA
Wheatland, Missouri (March 28, 2024) – With the start of the racing season just over a week away for the Lucas Oil MLRA, series officials are excited to announce the return of longtime series partner Sunoco Race Fuels. The relationship between the MLRA and Sunoco Race Fuels will continue to highlight the newcomers of the series, via their long-standing title sponsorship of the “Sunoco Race Fuels Rookie of the Year" award program in 2024.
Drivers looking to compete for the 2024 series Rookie Championship have until the season opening weekend to submit an application and formally declare their intent to follow the MLRA in 2024, thus becoming eligible for season ending awards thanks to Sunoco Race Fuels. Points will be tabulated following each race weekend and updated on the series website www.MLRARacing.com for fans to follow along.

SUNOCO Race Fuels will award the top two MLRA rookie drivers at the conclusion of the 2024 season with the following:
1st Place: $2,000 + (3) Drums of Sunoco Race Fuel
2nd Place: $1,500 + (1) Drums of Sunoco Race Fuel
*Winner will also receive additional other sponsor contingency awards.
Round one for the Lucas Oil MLRA’s 2024 season is slated for the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, IL on Friday and Saturday April 5th – April 6th. The two night “Winter Meltdown” will feature two complete nights of racing paying $5k and $7k to win respectively.
The following weekend will find the MLRA heading to its home base of the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO on April 12th – 13th for the “MLRA Spring Nationals”, Presented by Arizona Sport Shirts. The 11th Annual edition will be the richest in event history for the Spring Nationals, with Friday night paying $7,000 to win before Saturday nights $20,000 to win weekend finale.
