Lucas Oil MLRA Late Models return to Davenport Speedway
MAQUOKETA, Ia. – Just two weeks after putting on a great show at the Davenport Speedway the Lucas Oil MLRA Series returns to Davenport. This time the open late models will compete in the Short Track Challenge on the action-packed, quarter-mile oval, on Friday, May 3rd.
Past winners of the MLRA quarter-mile race are Chris Simpson, Bobby Pierce, and Chad Simpson.
The Lucas Oil MLRA series is in thirty-first season. The series will compete in six states in 2019. Chad Simpson of Mt. Vernon, Iowa is the defending series champion.
The late models will be joined on the track by Modifieds, Street Stocks and SportMods. There is no entry fee for the support classes.
The pit gate opens at 4pm, the grandstand at 5pm, hotlaps are at 6:30pm, with racing to follow.
Tickets for the Lucas Oil MLRA race are $20 for adults, students and seniors $18, and children 12 and under are free. Pit passes are $35.
