Missy Holman promoted within Lucas Oil MLRA

By Trenton Berry (Wheatland, MO) -- With the expanding reach and popularity of the Lucas Oil MLRA, series officials are pleased to announce the full-time hiring of Missy Holman. Holman, who has worked seasonally for the Lucas Oil MLRA for the past 13 years, will now take on additional responsibilities in her new role as Administrative Manager.

"It's great to be able to get up in the morning and do something that I love," commented Holman. "The MLRA has been a part of my life for a long time and I'm glad to take a larger role with the series and such a great company like Lucas Oil Products. My family also supports what I do, so that's a huge plus too."

Holman takes care of a number of race night tasks and will continue those. She oversees the driver sign in and draw, setting of the race lineups, handling and distributing the electronic transponders, hand scoring as a backup measure, processing the driver's pay and providing final results.

She will add a number of business related items to her list of responsibilities which will occupy a good deal of time throughout the week.

Missy has a deep love of racing. Her father raced as she grew up. Her first trip to the track was at four years old. She also met her husband Robert at the races. He competed at dirt tracks throughout the Midwest for 30 years. Currently, her nephew Jace Boney competes in go-karts, and she loves watching him race!

She has worked alongside Assistant Series Director Ernie Leftwich off and on for 20 years and there is plenty of mutual respect and friendship between the two.

"With the amount of time it takes to keep MLRA rolling, it was time to hire someone and there was no better choice than Missy," commented Leftwich. "She's extremely important to the series and myself, and is a lot of what makes our racing happen. She does a great job and is a great person too."

The first weekend of racing for the Lucas Oil MLRA is just over two months away. It will once again come to life at the Kosiski family's I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska, March 31 and April 1. The Spring Meltdown will pay $2,000 and $3,000 to win respectively.
