Wheatland, Missouri (May 21, 2019) - With severe storms taking direct aim overnight at the Lucas Oil Speedway and the Wheatland community, it has forced the postponement of both of this weekend's scheduled MLRA events slated for Lucas Oil Speedway as well as Sundays action originally slated for the Monett Motor Speedway in Monett, MO

Updates regarding a possible makeup for the 27th Annual Show-Me 100 Presented by, will be announced next Tuesday, May 28th by track and series officials. Fans who have purchased advanced tickets for the three day event are asked to hang on to them as they will be honored when the event is rescheduled. Additional info regarding the event will also be available at the track website or by calling the speedway office at (417)-282-5984.

In addition to the postponement of the three day Show-Me 100, Lucas Oil MLRA officials have also decided that it will be in the best interest of their race teams and traveling fans to also postpone and reschedule, their event schedule for this Sunday evening May 26th at the Monett Motor Speedway in Monett, MO. The $3,000 to win event at Monett will be moved to Sunday night, July 14th which will directly follow Saturday nights "Diamond Nationals" at the Lucas Oil Speedway.

MLRA Series Director Ernie Leftwich commented, "We never like to cancel or postpone events, but in light of the devastation at Lucas Oil Speedway and the travel and expenses our teams and fans will incur to support a one day show, it just makes sense for everyone involved to reschedule the Monett date. We appreciate the Monett Speedway staff working with us on rescheduling their event, and believe this new date will still be very attractive to the many teams that will already be in the area for the Diamond."

Monett Motor Speedway is still planning to move ahead with their regular weekly points racing this Sunday, weather permitting. Additional details on this weekend's action will be available on their website along with their social media outlets.

The Lucas Oil MLRA will now turn their attention towards a twin bill next weekend, when the series makes their first ever stop at the 1/5th mile Belle Clair Speedway in Belleville, IL before concluding the weekend at Lake Ozark Speedway on Saturday night the June 1st.
